Mario launched his Do Right Foundation at the Boys and Girls club in LA this week.
Growing up in Baltimore, Mario endured a lot at a young age, mostly stemming from drug abuse in the home. Today, you see Mario the successful recording artist and actor; however, there are many obstacles he has overcome and continues to hurdle daily. Mario’s Do Right Foundation was established to educate and inspire youth adversely affected by drug abuse in the home and young people in under resourced communities through programs and partnerships. Mario is committed to helping young people in this environment through the difficult times. Through programs, partnerships, events and fundraisers Mario and Mario’s Do Right Foundation will raise awareness and provide positive alternatives for young people impacted by drug abuse in the home

Most of you will remember Gavin Degraw as the guy who wrote and performed the theme song, “I Don’t Want to Be,”  for One Tree Hill. I know him as an extremely talented singer/songwriter. His debut album, Chariot, spawned 3 hits and led to a stripped version of the album. Gavin is back to release his self-titled second studio album this Spring after a brief hiatus.

Check out these pictures of Gavin at the video shoot for his new single, In Love with a Girl, in LA this weekend. Even though he has one of those horrible Laguna Beach chicks in the video I still adore him.

Ya boy Joey Crack aka Fat Joe performed on TRL with my beloved Nahum Grymes or what he is known as outside of the prison walls: J Holiday. Joey’s new album Elephant in the Room came out this Tuesday. Make sure you go out and support ya boy!
