My stan heart is smiling with delight! Although some people still believe it’s all an elaborate hoax, many reports say Beyoncé Knowles is now Beyoncé Carter. Beyoncé and her long-time boyfriend Jay-Z (born Shawn Carter) finally said “I do” in an intimate ceremony at Jay’s Tribeca apartment on April 4th. The couple, who had been dating for 6 years, probably chose the date because the number 4 is a very close to their hearts. Beyoncé was born on Sept. 4th, Jay-Z on Dec. 4th. Beyoncé sings in her hit “Summertime” from the soundtrack of The Fighting Temptations that their first date took place on the 4th of July. Sources say the Roman numeral IV (each have the number tattooed on their ring fingers) played a big role in the décor of the ceremony.

A friend told People.com on Friday:
“It happened earlier this evening. Jay wanted it to be a really private affair – close friends and family.”
People.com also reports following the wedding there was a lavish party attended by several of the couple’s family members and close friends.

Spotted arriving for the wedding were Bey’s sis Solange, mother and father Tina and Mathew Knowles, cousin Angie Beyincé, Destiny’s Child sister’s Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, mom’s assistant and friend Ty Hunter, Jay’s mother Gloria Carter, and friends Gwyneth Paltrow and her husband Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.
