Another great singer fell victim to Kristy Lee Cook’s sniper fire last night on Idol. Australian-born Michael Johns formerly Michael Lee (did he drop the “Lee” so no one would think he was related to that eardrum killer?) was eliminated last night after a not so dreamy performance of Aerosmith’s “Dream On” for Idol’s inspirational song week. Joining him in the bottom three was another early favorite (not of mine) Carly Smithson and Syesha Mercado. When will the madness end!? When will my ears love again!?

Does anyone else think Ryan was a complete enima for revealing Michael has the lowest amout of votes then mentioning how last year during Idol Gives Back they didn’t eliminate anyone….but they would be kicking someone out this year? What a booty nugget!

Michael performs with his former band Film. This dude has a killer voice. His problem came, just as Randy said Tuesday night, when he tries to be a rocker. He’s at his best doing soulful songs.
