After the cancellation of a couple shows over the weekend, many Jordin Sparks fans began to fear that the youngest Idol would have the shortest career. The cancellation of the shows sparked rumors that a career-threatening vocal condition was ailing the 18-year-old singer. Her label has since come out to confirm that yes, Jordin is suffering from a vocal condition, but it is not career-threatening.
It will, however, sideline Sparks for the rest of April. The singer has canceled all performances–even dropping off the Alicia Keys tour–until May.

Say it aint so! Designer Alexis Phifer, known mostly as Kanye West’s fiance, has confirmed she and Kanye are done. Rumors had been swirling for awhile that the two were cooling down but seemed to die down when the pair attended many of Paris Fashion Week’s shows together. Rumors picked up again earlier this week when Usweekly reported the story on their website, but then gained speed when Alexis was seen out and about with a naked ring finger.
A friend told People.com:
“They’d been having problems,” a pal of West’s says. “Kanye is really focused on his show; he’s putting everything into the show right now. Alexis is a nice girl, but Kanye has been going through a rough time. They hit a rough patch and for now they’ve split.”
According to the friend, Phifer and West, both 30, had been spending less time together in the last few weeks as the Grammy-winning star prepared for his nationwide “Glow in the Dark” tour. “I haven’t seen [Alexis] around at all the last few times I’ve seen him recently,” the friend added.
The two had dated off and on since 2002.
What a shame! I really liked them together. I don’t care if some people claim she’s just the hottest beard in the game.
