Numerous reports says that ya girl Rihanna will be making her feature film debut in “Mama Black Widow“. According to SOHH.com, the movie will also star Mos Def, Anthony Anderson, Macy Gray and Kerry Washington.
In a recent radio interview, Rihanna talked about “being in a movie”, although she never mentions the name. Also in the interview, Rihanna talks about her second single from the “Good Girl Gone Bad – Reloaded” release called “Disturbia,” being “very close friends” with Chris Brown, and her good friend Kanye West being a little crazy. Nominations for the 18th Annual NAACP Theatre Awards are in and NL favorite, Michelle Williams, snagged herself a nomination for her brilliant work as Shug Avery in the touring production of the Broadway smash “The Color Purple“. Also nominated in the “Lead Female” category with Michelle is cast mates Jeanette Bayardelle who plays Celie and Felicia P. Fields who rips the place a new one as Sofia. Congratulation also goes out to American Idol season 3 contestant Latoya London who scored a supporting female nomination.

Fox News is reporting that season 7 American Idol contestant, Luke Menard, has been diagnosed with stage II Hodgkins lymphoma. A rep for the singer says:
“The prognosis is good — it’s one of the most treatable cancers, he’s in phenomenal shape and has a great marriage, an amazing family, a very strong faith and such a great spirit,”
Luke made it to the top 8 boys and is mostly known for his theatrical style of singing. Get well soon Luke!
