Even after the judges claimed on Tuesday night that Archuleta K.O.’d D.C. in the performance round (which Simon did apologize for), David C. sailed to victory with 12 million votes more than D.A.
After winning, D.C. performed the winning song from the Idol songwriting contest; a sappy lametoid called “Time of My Life.”
