David Cook delivered a massive Archuletdown when he spanked the young David Archuleta‘s buns to be crowned the new American Idol. Even after the judges claimed on Tuesday night that Archuleta K.O.’d D.C. in the performance round (which Simon did apologize for), David C. sailed to victory with 12 million votes more than D.A.
The first thing that came to my mind: Daddy Jeff Jackson–I mean Archuleta–is gonna lay into that kid! Runner-up isn’t so bad!
After winning, D.C. performed the winning song from the Idol songwriting contest; a sappy lametoid called “Time of My Life.”
