//New Music: Keri Hilson – Energy//

After appearing on a few artists’ singles and helping to write for many others, Keri Hilson is finally ready to step out into the spotlight on her own. She just released her first single, “Energy,” from her highly anticipated debut album “In A Perfect World.”

I really like it. It’s a nice mid-tempo jam and Keri is a talented singer. Something about the middle of the song seems missing though–like there should be a bridge but there isn’t one. Here’s hoping they won’t stick a random rapper on it when it gets serviced to radio. It really can stand on its own.
