Ok, I have a confession. I love watching the shows on Teen Nick. Sure, I haven’t seen my teen years in 5 years but I can’t help it. The dry comedy speaks to me. One show me and my 4-year-old nephew just love to watch is iCarly. The budding young star who plays Carly, Miranda Cosgrove, got her start with Nick on the Drake Bell-led sitcom Drake & Josh at the tender age of only 11. Now the 15-year-old, who also sings the theme song to her new show, is stepping out into the music world. Check out the video to her first single, “Stay My Baby,” directed by Bob Dylan‘s son Jesse Dylan.
So, I totally won’t be bumping this on my mp3 player but it’s cute. It’s very age appropriate and that’s a lot more than I can say for many of these teen stars. Let’s hope her private life is just as age appropriate. Don’t go Miley on us, Miranda!
Miranda Cosgrove has such a unique voice i don’t really love icarly but its cute! She was so awesome in Drake and Josh i guess its just hard for me to picture evil little megan to be a kind gentle good girl! I’m eleven which was her age in Drake and Josh but now shes a teenagershe should make an album she’d get way more fans then Miley Cyrus will ever ever get!!!!!!!
