It’s been a long time coming but Jennifer Hudson will release her self-titled debut album on September 30. The first single, “Spotlight,” is a hawt R&B record written by the boy Ne-Yo and produced by superproducing duo Stargate. Now, J-Hud is bringing in some southern star power in the form of Young Jeezy to remix the song. But can you really call it a remix? No. The song stays virtually the same besides for Jeezy’s verse in the beginning, and yelling in the middle. I can do without him–the song doesn’t need any guests. It’s strong on its own. But you check it and make your own call.
