Taking a break from VMA coverage for a moment…
How the heck did I miss this? I blame my UK friends on not keeping me in the loop! Damn you all. Kelly Rowland and The Script performed a mashed-up rendition of Stevie Wonder’s classic “Part Time Lovers” which our friends at We Are Pop Slags observed seemed a bit like Maroon 5 and Rihanna’s mash-up for “If I Never See Your Face Again.”
This performance is serveral days old but it’s worth posting all the same–and not because it was great. I stan for Kelly. I really do. I have the pictures on my myspace page to prove it–no, I’m not going to link them. But this performance was vocally abysmal in lots of parts. I’d be remiss in my duty as an honest blogger if I let Kels slide just because I stan so fully. But since we try our best to always keep it positive, I must say….it wasn’t all bad. Kelly looked like the cutest farmer I’ve ever seen and there were some good vocal moments. See, positive.

When on earth did she do that?!? The dance moves made up for the vocals at times..beyond amusing.
