It’s been a great week on the Billboard charts for southern rapper TI. His album, Paper Trail, debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 Album chart, selling over 568,000 copies, and now he’s breaking records all over the Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart. His newest single, “Live Your Life,” featuring Rihanna rocketed 80-1, replacing his “Whatever You Like” at the top of the chart after selling 335,000 downloads this week. The colossal leap places TI in the record books for the largest leap to #1 in Billboard history; he replaces himself with that record–”Whatever” held the record before with a 71-1 jump six weeks ago. He also now holds the record for the most downloads for a single in one week; “Live Your Life”’s total stomps all over Mariah Carey’s previous record of 286,000 for “Touch My Body.”
Previously tied with Carey and Beyoncé, Rihanna’s placement on the track subsequently puts her in first place for the female artist with the most #1’s this decade with a new tally of five hits.
Christina Aguilera and Nickelback make high debuts this week. Aguilera’s new single “Keeps Gettin’ Better” starts at #7 with 144,000 downloads and Nickelback’s “Gotta Be Somebody” starts at #10 with 127,000 downloads.
This week’s top singles according to Billboard:

- Kevin Rudolf featuring Lil Wayne – Let It Rock
