//2008 American Music Awards Nominations Announced; Alicia Keys Leads//

Jesse McCartney and singer/dancer Julianne Hough were on hand to announce the nominees for the 2008 American Music Awards with this year’s host, Jimmy Kimmel. R&B goddess Alicia Keys leads the pack with five nominations with Coldplay close behind with four. Other notable nominees include Chris Brown and Lil Wayne with three and Rihanna and Mariah Carey with two.

Set to perform on the big show is Jonas Brothers, Pink, Ne-Yo, Rihanna, New Kids on the Block, Taylor Swift and Pussycat Dolls. The show will air live from the Nokia Theater on November 23rd. Tickets are avaiable on Ticketmaster.com. For a complete list of nominees, check under the cut.
