Diddy can’t leave well enough alone. When his original R&B/Pop teen sensations Dream split in 2003, we’d all thought we had heard the last from them. Well, not only are the original girls getting back to music, Diddy is hard at work putting together a new Dream with Clockwork Entertainment. Yes, like the female Menudo, the new Dream will be comprised of four new girls younger than the original set.
Two girls have already been picked out: 17-year-old Jordan McCoy (who you may or may not recognize from the horrible pint-sized version of American Idol called American Juniors) and 13-year-old Hunter Pencunia who, like Disney starlets Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez, made her debut on PBS’s Barney and Friends.
So the question is: Are they as good as the original Dream? The answer has yet to be seen since they’re still short two members, but they definitely have the potential to take Miley Cyrus out. Especially Jordan. When pop music leaves her system, she could have a bankable career as a sweet-voiced singer/songwriter type ala Colbie Caillat.
