Looks like David Archuleta is playing the runner-up again. The American Idol season seven second place finisher was beat to the top spot by country darling Taylor Swift. Taylor’s sophomore album Fearless becomes the top debut for any country album released this year selling a whopping 592,000 copies in its first week out. Not only did she top the chart, but the distance she put between herself and the number two album is remarkable. Archuleta’s album sold a respectable 183,000 copies coming in at #2. Back in Swiftland, Taylor will have six songs from Fearless debut on the Hot 100 singles chart tomorrow, with the single “White Horses” leading the way at #13. Horses gives Swift her sixth top 20 debut this year, a record for any artist in Billboard Hot 100 history. That’s one fearless chick!
