John Mayer is such a regular in the tabloids that it’s easy to forget that under it all, he’s one hell of a musician. The singer/songwriter performed “In The Wee Small Hours of the Morning“ on the Late Show with David Letterman Wednesday with special guest Chris Botti.

Such a shame his music gets overlooked by who he is or isn’t dating, because this was, quite frankly, one of the most captivating performances I’ve seen in a long time. Loved it!
