The Grammy nominations for 2008’s Best New Artist were announced a little over an hour ago, but British soul singer Adele is already reacting to the good news. She posted a short blog on her official myspace page to talk about the honor:

i just got nominated for a bloody grammy!?
the most ridiculous thing ive ever heard ever! i cant bloody believe it!

so surreal, too weird, its bonkers!

im gonna try sleep now, its nearly 3am

ahahahahahaha i dont know what to do with myself!

She’ll fight it out with Duffy, Jonas Brothers, Lady Antebellum, and Jazmine Sullivan for the golden gramophone February 8 at the Staples Center in LA.
