This is turning out to be one hell of a week for American Idol fanatics. We got in on the excitement by vowing to revisit some of our favorite Idol performances all this week, and now comes the news that one of our favorite Idol contestants, like, ever will be releasing new music and his memoirs: the man, the myth, the legend, the man of a thousand hairstyles, Sanjaya Malakar. Yes, we’re Fanjayas.
The most entertaining part about season six of American Idol was, without a doubt, watching Sanjaya tear the stage up week after week with his amazingly bad amazing performances and seeing exactly what he’d do to his gorgeous locks.
Now, he’s going to tell all about his experience on Idol and being the legendary creature that he is in his new book and EP entitled Dancing to the Music in My Head. Epic. (No, we didn’t photoshop that album cover–it’s the real thing.) Both will be released on January 20.
You can take a listen to some of the tracks on Amazon.com.
This is honestly some of the worst music I’ve heard since I was forced at gun-point to listen to Corey Clark’s “Paulatics.” *shudders* But ultra flat, yet tender, singing might be your thing!
Bonus! Check out a full version of Sanjaya performing “A Guy Like Me” in August.

That “A Guy Like Me” song sounds good to me. Nice vocal. Sounds a lot better than some of the other idols’ stuff. Plus Sanjaya seems like a genuinely nice guy. I’m planning on checking out his book and his music.

A Guy Like Me sounds smooth. Thanks for putting the link up. I’m going to buy the rest of the music and his book, too.
