//American Idol Countdown: Revisited: Elliott Yamin – Home//

Some American Idol contestants never learn: you never sing a song that will be especially poignant if you get voted off the next night. Elliott Yamin ignored this unwritten rule back in season five, and man, oh, man are we glad that he did. His performance of Michael Buble’s “Home” was one of the most soul-stirring performances we’ve ever witnessed on Idol. We can’t forget that it was also an amazing vocal performance. Oh, and he didn’t get sent packing. Take that!
Elliott was truly the people’s idol. While Taylor Hicks shimmied and Katherine McPhee purred, Elliott made his way into America’s hearts by just getting on stage and doing what he loved: sing–and sing well.
Remember one of the best Idol singers ever with us now!

I love this song! Being from Elliott’s hometown really made me emotional while he sang this song. He’s the best and can’t wait for his March/May CD release. His 2nd CD is going to rock!
After Elliott sang “Home” on AI, Michael Buble told his girlfriend that himself sang it better than he does himself. Yep, he sure did.
I meant Elliott (not himself) sang it better :)
Elliott Yamin embodies talent, class and charisma. I can wait for his next CD and tour!
Elliott Yamin has such a unique voice. It is soothing and warm. I love to hear anything he sings. I play his CD’s over and over and never tire of hearing him sing. I am most anxious for his new CD. What a guy!!
Although Taylor was my idol that year. If it would have come down to Taylor and Elliot… that would have been a very hard decision. I loved Elliot from the beginning. I look forward to his next cd.
thats the man right there…He shoulda been on the list..Right up there with Gavin. That man is it!
^Believe me, he would have been. But Elliot released his album in 2007. :-(
oh your so right…I wasnt even thinking..you said 2008..hmmm.
If the two songs I’ve heard are any indication of the entire CD, our boy Elliott will definitely be a candidate for a Grammy!
