Enrique Iglesias and Ciara. Not the most likely pairing you’d think of when thinking about duet partners, but oddly enough, the Latin heartthrob got together with the crunk princess to record the song “Taking Back My Love” for Iglesias’ new greatest hits album and made dance-jam magic.
“We thought it will be perfect collaboration between a girl and a guy going back at each other and the first person we though about was Ciara,” Enrique said of the collaboration in a recent interview. “She heard the song and loved it and a few days later she laid vocals on it. She was very easy going, she is a sweetheart.”
The “we” he was referring to would be himself and RedOne, the man responsible for producing Lady GaGa’s smash “Just Dance.” The track was an obvious standout among the new songs for the hits compilation album, so it’s getting a super hot video to go with it.
Ciara and Enrique got together to steam up a Hollywood set earlier this month in the video directed by Ray Kay.
