Bad things happen to good people everyday. On a sunny Sunday afternoon in Florida, Jessica Simpson became a victim of very bad things.
The pop star-turned-country sweetie performed at 99.9 Kiss Country’s 24th Annual Chili Cook-Off at CB Smith Park for a crowd of fans wanting to hear songs from her country album, Do You Know. Her voice sparkled and from the waist up, she looked marvelous. But then, IT happened.
Mom jeans. The enemy of backsides everywhere threatened to cut Jessie’s new curvier figure in half. They succeeded in a tragic way. Jess turned around and no one was able to tell the difference between the 28-year-old usual glamourpuss and a 45-year-old suburban housewife.

Jessica looked and sounded terrible. The mom jeans and back-fat was just insulting. Tickets were $40 and that price was about $20 more than it was worth. Overpriced drinks and fair food as always. This will be the last time I attend this event.
All the band sets were way too short. They simply booked too many artists in too little time. In fact Jessica’s set quite literally had the plug pulled in the middle of a song to make way for Alan Jackson. One problem… The guitarist and fiddle player kept rocking out to their ear buds for a good couple of minutes. (It wasn’t a power problem). She was that bad and no one seemed to mind the abrupt departure.
