A stunning Beyonce took the stage at the 40th Annual NAACP Image Awards tonight and performed her latest single, Halo, for the first time on television. Beyonce also scored a new trophy for the mantle piece. She took home the award for outstanding female artist beating out stars like Jennifer Hudson, Alicia Keys and current tabloid Pop princess Rihanna.

Beyonce gave an adorable acceptance speech, thanking her family for keeping her humble. Her shock at being told to wrap her speech up just makes you say awww!

I don’t really dig Beyonce anymore. I know that she was acknowledging her family on the image awards…but it kinda seemed like it was a stab at J. Hudson instead of an honest vulnerable moment. That is cruel. I mean who says I am so blessed to have my family while someone else who just pretty much lost their whole family is in the audience. It was hateful and mean and i picked up on it. Jennifer Hudson is now my fave….

Jay I totally have to agree with you….since when does she thank her sister and nephew…it was a total stab at JHud…even Diddy looked like he was disgusted….No good will come to you Beyonce until you get over yourself

  3. Stace says:

Are you serious?? I think you both read waaaaaay too much into her speech. Beyonce always thanks her family. Why should she stop?

Unfortunately, people lose loved ones. I’m sure there were hundreds of people in the audience that lost sisters, mothers, brothers, their own kids even. Is Jennifer taking a dig at those people because she thanked her family?

The Beyonce hate is out of control sometimes.

  4. Michele says:

She’s a really nice girl. Once I was at the Today Show when she was there and the staff said she was one of the nicest young celebrities they had ever met. It would never make sense for her to be mean spirited to Jennifer Hudson.
