//Canadian R&B Singer Keisha Chante Not Involved In Rihanna/Chris Brown Fight, Will Not Play Aaliyah//

Canadian R&B star Keisha Chante has yet to make her mark in the US, and she’s not looking to make it as the girl who caused the fight between popstars Rihanna and Chris Brown.

Reports claim Rihanna saw a text message sent to her then-boyfriend Brown from another woman that upset her. An argument ensued that led to a physical altercation that left the 20-year-old star reportedly beaten and bruised, and her 19-year-old alleged attacker booked by LAPD for making a criminal threat.

Somehow rumors started to swirl that 20-year-old Chante was the woman behind the text message. Her manager is speaking up to clear her name before things get out of hand.

“This is another unsubstantiated, untrue report; she was nowhere near the incident in any way,” manager Mona Scott told Us Weekly.

There have been rumors for a couple years that the two dated previously. Chante appeared in the video for the Bow Wow/Brown hit “Shortie Like Mine,” and pictures of the two at a Canadian TV show were plastered on the singer’s Myspace page at one point. But Scott insists the two have never dated and hardly knows each other.

“She’s not even dating Chris! I think they met a few years back, probably three or four years ago in Canada. But that’s it.”

Scott also cleared up the wide-spread rumors that Chante would play late R&B singer Aaliyah in a biopic, but she admits it would be a “great opportunity” for the singer/actress.

Chante is currently starring in a new series called “SOUL” that airs on Vision TV in Canada while working on her new album.
