TMZ obtained a rather disturbing photo of Rihanna reportedly taken at the scene of a vicious attack by the singer’s boyfriend, R&B star Chris Brown, on Thursday.
Her eyes are closed in the photo with numerous cuts and bruises on her face; her bottom lip and nose appear to be swollen.
While the authenticity of the photo has yet to be determined, the injuries shown in the photo match the reports by various media sources and the tattoo of Rihanna’s best friend’s birth-date in Roman numerals is visible.
The photo reignited the public rage over the Feb. 8 attack on the pop star, who will turn 21 Friday (Feb 20). Fans who once considered standing by Brown found it much harder after seeing the damage he allegedly caused.
Brown is free on $50,000 bail and will appear in court on March 5. He released a statement saying he was “sorry and saddened” by the situation, but never addressed Rihanna in the statement.

Some people are so desperate to believe the situation isn’t that bad so they can continue to attach their lips to Chris Brown’s ass. I want to see the idiots that still think it’s not so bad after looking at that photo!
wow!!! I didnt believed it cus her own father said there was bruising but she will be fine. But when you see that pic..thats not just bruising..thats not cool at all. gezz..she didnt deserved that at all.
