//American Idol Recap: Results – Nine Spaces In The Top 12 Filled, Final Three To Be Decided By Wild Card Round//

There were no surprises last night on American Idol when Ryan Seacrest revealed America’s votes for the last three spots in the top 12 they’re allowed to fill.

The total of occupied seats went up to nine as Danny Gokey, Alexis Grace, Michael Sarver, Kris Allen, Allison Iraheta, and Adam Lambert got some new company.

The first one through was, of course, powerhouse vocalist Lil Rounds. She drew comparisons to Mary J. Blige for her heartfelt performances and extreme belting skills. Ironically, it was the Blige song “Be Without You” that she performed landing her a sweet spot in the top 12.

Scott MacIntyre might have been happy just to be on Idol, but there’s no doubt he was even more elated to make it through to the top 12. The visually impaired crooner will get the chance to perform with his keyboard where Paula Abdul promises he shines the most. His keyboard-less performance of “Mandolin Rain” was plenty bright, though.

Jorge Nunez was reduced to a blubbering Spanish-speaking mess when he received the news that he’d be singing again on the Idol stage, but it was beyond endearing. The Puerto Rican charmer made the judges swoon with his performance of “Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me” but his personality has also been just as big and magnetic as his voice.

The excitement of the results was dwarfed by the excitement of finding out who’d come back to sing again for the judges during tonight’s (March 5) Wild Card round.

Everyone who did not go through after last night’s results, and some of the judges favorites (for better or worse) were brought back to find out if they’d be given a second chance to fill the final three spots in the top 12. And surprisingly, all eight choices were great.

Returning to prove they have what it takes will be Ricky Braddy, Von Smith, Megan Corkrey, Jasmine Murray, Anoop Desai, Matt Giraud, Jesse Langseth, and Tatiana Del Toro (you know you missed her).

Check out Lil, Scott, and Jorge’s winning performances on the other side.

I cannot believe they are even thinking of bring back Tatiani. What is happening with this show is it for ratings. Has that gotten in the way of performance. I think so… I will be so disappointed in this show if that happens. We’ll see tonight

I can’t stand that girl Tatiana hope she doesn’t make it.

Let’s be honest, the competition here is between Lil Rounds and the Porto Rican Boy Jorge Nunez, judges you have the last words.
