First the CW brought back 90210 with great success. Now the new network is looking to bring back another primetime soap, the 90′s drama Melrose Place, and they’ll have some major star power in the form of Ashlee Simpson-Wentz.
The Hollywood Reporter announced the 24-year-old singer/actress will join the cast — already comprised of Michael Rady and Katie Cassidy – playing the new girl in town, Violet, “a bright-eyed but shrewd small-town girl and recent L.A. transplant who has come to town with a secret.”
The new role is a reunion of sorts for Ash and the CW. Before the WB network merged with UPNÂ to form the CW, Ashlee had a recurring role on the WB’s longest running drama, 7th Heaven.
Before she can be seen moving into Melrose Place, Ashlee and her husband Pete Wentz will gueststar on an episode of CSI: New York playing a Bonnie and Clyde-like duo on March 18.
This will be a good schedule for her and baby! But why do they keep remaking 90′s shows!
