K-Pop superstar Se7en will release his as-yet-untitled US debut album this spring. To whet our appetites, the 24-year-old Seoul, Korea-bred star has just dropped the video for his first single “Girls” produced by super-producer Rodney Jerkins. The single and video features NY rapper Lil Kim doing her best Lil Wayne imitation.
Se7en is already being dubbed the “Korean Justin Timeberlake,” though, I wouldn’t go that far; he’s more like the Korean Jesse McCartney, which isn’t a bad thing at all. The album will be a slight departure from his K-Pop days. He’s opting for a more R&B/hip hop sound, enlisting the genre’s heavy hitters like Jerkins, Three 6 Mafia, and Fabolous for the album.

yes it is ok little errors and mixed up i am just glad you all actually did the article :)
i want to clear something up: se7en has always done korean R&B/hiphop artist. that’s why i started listening to him. he was never a k-pop artist. he is a japanese pop artist, though, which really disappointed me, because i like R&B not pop. he’s going BACK to his roots, not departing from them. all you have to do is listen to his albums, from the first one called “just listen”, even his ballads are all R&B.
please. this watered down tripe is not r&b. anthony hamilton, dwele, even neyo are r&b. this is a blantant attempt at ripping off american culture for exposure and a quick buck.
se7enfan, you are wrong. Se7en is a Korean artist. He released a few Japanese albums and singles. K-Pop is a blanket term for all Korean popular music. Including R&B, rap, hip-hop, rock, boyband, girl groups, and dance.

look Briana you have your own taste and other people have theirs. if you don’t know anything more about se7en other than the fact he’s asian and is singing pop, then don’t waste your time dissing the guy. he has millions of fans, as much as ne yo and the old chris brown.
