//American Idol Recap: Results – Harsh Words From Simon As One More Says Goodbye//

The question was asked of American Idol judge Simon Cowell early tonight as the results from last night’s voting was about to be announced: Who is in trouble? Without hesitation Cowell chose Megan Joy, Matt Giraud and Anoop Desai.
All three contestants faced rough criticism over their performances on last night’s top downloads theme night. Anoop didn’t exactly rock Usher’s Caught Up, Matt turned his back on his soul stylings for a copy-cat performance of The Fray’s You Found Me, and Megan Joy shamed Bob Marley’s Turn Your Lights Down Low with a whiny rendition of the song.
Turns out Simon got two out of three correct for the bottom three vote getters. 16-year-old rocker Allison Iraheta took Matt’s place instead. She got positive feedback for her performance of No Doubt’s Don’t Speak but distracted many with her over-the-top ensemble.
When asked if he agreed with the judges feedback from the prior night’s performance, Anoop Desai humbly revealed that after watching the performance back, he could understand the criticism. Megan Joy, on the other hand, offered a fateful “I don’t care.”
When the results revealed that it was Megan who got the lowest number of votes, her lack of concern for the judges’ comments came back to bite her. Ryan Seacrest asked if they’d be willing to use their save to spare their early favorite from elimination and Simon snarled, “Megan, with the greatest respect, when you said that you didn’t care, neither do we….This is your swan song.” Harsh!
The top 8 contestants perform again next Tuesday.

I think that scott and anoop rock they are better than any other contestint by the way am a little girl im eleven and i alwawls watch american idol all the time just to see scott an d anoop
megan is pretty but doesnt mean shes a good singer my mom thinks she sucks but my mom thinks scott and anoop are good just like i do when the judges made a bad comment on anoop and scott my mom said you suck he’s good.Am eleven and when im 16 am going to try out for american idol my name is brianna grey
Anyone who destroys their natural beauty with ugly tatoos obviously doesn’t care about herself and others. I wish Idol had a standard that never gave a go ahead ticket for tatoo ladened creeps.
