Ashley Tisdale has already got the acting thing sort of down. She’s conquered the small screen as lovable Tipton candy girl Maddie Fitzpatrick on The Suite Life of Zack and Cody and smack talking–and singing–mean girl Sharpay Evans in the High School Musical franchise. She has even seen big screen success when her character and the rest of the Wildcat bopped their way right to the top of the box office in High School Musical 3: Senior Year.
Acting success isn’t all Ms. Tisdale is after though. Hoping to top her so-so performing debut album Headstrong, Ashley will release her sophomore set Guilty Pleasure on June 16th. The album will be lead by the spunky first single It’s Alright, It’s OK (not to be confused with Eric Hutchinson‘s masterpiece OK, It’s Alright With Me).
The song is miles ahead of Headstrong’s clunky and corny singles. Ashley still has some work to do in the vocals department but the catchy hook will reel you in!

headstrong did not perform so-so. it debuted in the top 5 of the hot 100. and is the most successful of all HSM alums. Sounds like a hit for me.
