//Jason Castro Signs With Atlantic Records, Set To Work With Kara DioGuardi On Debut//
American Idol season 7 alum Jason Castro was one of the most unique contestants the show has ever seen. The dread-locked haired singer finished in third place on the strength of his originality and unforgettable performances, among them a riveting performance of Leonard Cohen’s classic “Hallelujah.”
It was only a matter of time before he and his guitar would find a major record label to call home. He found his match in Atlantic Records.
The label announced this week that they have signed Castro and will deliver his debut album later this yet.
Jason has been writing for the record since leaving American Idol and will work with some big names for the release, including current Idol judge, singer/songwriter Kara DioGuardi.
