//Live Performance Goodness: Gabriella Cilmi Fills In For Ciara On “Taking Back My Love” With Enrique Iglesias//

The US crowd will remember the steamy video Ciara and Enrique Iglesias made for their hot duet “Taking Back My Love” from the latin lover’s greatest hits album released last year, but the overseas fans might be more familar with the version with 17-year-old sultry singer Gabriella Cilmi.
Gabs and Enrique have performed the song on plenty of TV shows (many of which were lip synced. Doh!). But luckily I found one vid of them performing the song all the way live. Woohoo! Their on stage chemistry is just good enough to sell the song without being too creepy–the age difference is nuts…but then again, Enrique was caught being a little too friendly on stage with another one of Gabby’s peers. Nothing sweet about that, but everything sweet about this performance!
Better than Ciara??? You be the judge. Check it!

I was at this live performance and Gabriella was awful! There was no chemistry at all (which may have something to do with the age thing). Can’t believe she’s only 17, she looks way older! Anyway, as i was saying, she was pretty damn awful, no where near as good as Ciara. It’s a shame Ciara couldn’t have joined him for the promo. Thank god Gabriella was only standing in for Ciara and isn’t on the actual single! Her voice is great for what she does but not for this song. I felt bad for Enrique because he was trying to get her involved in the song but it was no use. I think Enrique’s backing singer (Laura Jane) would have been a better choice. She’s hot, got an amazing voice and her and Enrique have great chemistry onstage!
Eifan what are you talking about she sounded good..at least she can sing ciara’s just talks with a pretty tone…
Not from where i was sitting lol, and i know a lot of people who would agree with me! I don’t know about Ciara since i’m not a fan of hers although from what i’ve seen of her i don’t see anything wrong with her voice. I didn’t say Gabriella can’t sing, it’s just her voice didn’t suit this song at all IMHO.
