Looks like America wants to see Beyonce kick butt just as much as they want to hear her sing.
Beyonce’s new flick Obsessed topped the weekend box office taking in $28.5 million in ticket sales.
In the Fatal Attraction-esque movie Beyonce plays the wife of a business man played by British actor Idris Elba who becomes the object of an office temp’s obsession. The temp is played by Heroes star Ali Larter.
Audiences undoubtably flocked to theaters to see Beyonce and Larter duke it out in the much hyped cat-fight shown in the movie’s promos.
This isn’t Beyonce’s first trip to the top of the box office charts. Beyonce helped Austin Powers in Goldmember reign in 2003 and Steve Martin’s Pink Panther remake also started on top in 2006.

I saw Obsessed with Beyonce — Critics are stupid and jealous. She did a good job in this movie and yes, she can act. Go see it – it was a very good movie.
Obsessed was a good movie – Go see it-it was a very good suspense movie well done by the Actors and Director. Beyonce surprised me by her outstanding acting ability. Good job B. You deserve an award!
Obsessed was a very good movie Beyonce’s acting sucked, but I was in love and spellbound by the connection of the other two characters.
OBSESSED sucked with a capital S*U*C*K!!!…in ALL catagories, including BK’s acting (read what film critics “IN THE KNOW” have to say about this terrible film). I am sorry and angry to have wasted my time and money.
