Rihanna‘s return to the stage will have to wait.
Her first concert since allegedly being beaten by boyfriend Chris Brown in February has been scrapped. That’s the word from Vibe Event Management, the promoter of her highly publicized “comeback” concert which was scheduled to take place May 28 in either Dubai or Abu Dhabi.
“We want to share with you that Rihanna and her management will not be accepting to hold a public concert at this time as it is not appropriate timing for her,†says Yassin Matbouly of Vibe told UAE publication tabloid.
Matbouly speculates that the ongoing court appearances for Brown (the next of which coincidentally lands on May 28) and the fact that she hasn’t performed in months may have become too much for the 21-year-old pop princess to handle. She might have also underestimated the amount of attention surrounding the event.
Though the show has no future date scheduled, Rihanna’s management insists the singer will eventually come to the UAE to perform. Vibe hopes to have a date for this summer.

Have you consider the fact that maybe why she’s going out is to feel better about her life its best to go out most times when you are depressed…to get ur mind off of things…next thing you know she go and perform on stage and have an emotional breakdown…come on give the girl a break natasha

Tabloid are trying to cover up their mistake in saying it was booked by saying its now cancelled. Bad journalism.
