//Cassie Speaks Out About Topless Photo Leak: ‘People Need To Grow Up’//
R&B singer shocked fans when she shaved one side of her head last month for no apparent reason other than to join in on the “rockstar attitude” trend, and now someone has shocked Cassie by releasing a few topless photos of the singer.
The partially nude photos showing the “Me and U” singer’s breasts adorned with a nipple ring surfaced overnight May 6. Cassie got word of the leak and immediately went on the defense against the imminent “she leaked them herself for attention” comments by tweeting that her computer had been hacked. “That’s real foul and evil,” Cassie posted on her Twitter page.
She released a statement via her official website to express her feelings on the mounting internet hoopla asking fans to “grow up” and “move on.”
“The recent personal pictures that have been leaked on the internet of me were hacked and stolen out of my computer,” she said. “These photos were obviously never intended for the world to see and it’s sad that people would really take time to steal and post them, it’s just evil.”
“At the end of the day breasts are breasts, mine weren’t the first you’ve seen and they won’t be the last… people need to grow up, let’s move on.”
Even if the leak is unintentional, Cassie could use the exposure — er, no pun intended. She’s shooting the video for the second single from her as-yet-untitled sophomore album, “Must Be Love” featuring Diddy, Friday (May 8).
