Not only does Rihanna have an amazing fashion sense, but she also has an amazing heart. The 21-year-old pop goddess dedicates her star power to helping patients fighting life threatening blood cancers find bone marrow donor matches through the organization DKMS. Last night she attended DKMS’s 3rd annual gala in New York City where she spoke out about the importance of the organization and tearfully reflected on the time she spent with six-year-old Jasmina Anema, a fan fighting a rare and agressive form of leukemia (thankfully, Jasmina has found two possible matches).

Pop star Kylie Minogue, who recently became involved with DKMS, attended the event also. Earlier in the evening, she lit the Empire State Building red and white in honor of the gala.
