//Beyonce, TI Leads BET Awards Nominations, Jamie Foxx Set To Host//

The 8th annual BET Awards nominee list features some of best new or little known artists from the past year but it was the more established acts that dominated when BET Networks announced the nominations yesterday (May 12).

Megastar Beyonce and troubled rapper TI lead the bunch with five nominations each. The Mighty B is a double nominee in the Video of the Year category and she scores a nod in the Best Actress category thanks to recent roles in the films Obsessed and Cadillac Records. Three of TI’s nominations come courtesy of his hit single Live My Life with Pop princess Rihanna.

R&B singer/songwriter Keri Hilson will go head to head with fellow singer/songwriters Ryan Leslie and Jazmin Sullivan for Best New Artist while Diddy’s Making The Band act Day26 battle with N.E.R.D. for Best Group.

Oscar winning actor and Grammy winning singer Jamie Foxx will take over hosting duties for the show. This year’s awards show will take place in Los Angeles’ Shrine Auditorium on June 28th.
