Conway, Arkansas native Kris Allen beat out theatrical rocker Adam Lambert to take home the American Idol crown last night in what has to be the show’s biggest upset. Perhaps what helped give him the winning edge was the new song that would become Kris’ debut single. Co-written by Idol judge Kara DioGuardi, the single No Boundaries seems much more suited for Kris’ Folk/Pop sound.
The studio version of the single sounds much better than the live performance. It’s actual bearable and the extreme corniness of the lyrics doesn’t bother me at all now. Not to mention Kris has one hell of a voice! I can see him going very far. *Hearts!*

especially when he sang ‘heartless’…
i thought the song was horrible when they sang it on the show, but im actually listening to kris’s studio version of it right now and im in love with it!! he sounds awesome.

Kris is an amazingg artist, he can take any song and make it his own. Heartless is a good example of that. So glad he beat Adam..Kris<33
Agreed! Adam’s voice is two raspy.
“upset”?? i think not.
in order to win american idol, people have to VOTE for you. therefore, nothing can be an “upset” for the entire country. that was a completely biased comment and kris’s fans (who apparently are greater in number than adam’s) are not going to appreciate it.
not to mention adam lambert’s voice has made me curl up into the fetal position, saying “no” repeatedly, on several occasions.
