Could the beginning of a bitter American Idol feud between runner-ups Clay Aiken and Adam Lambert be brewing? It seems likely on Clay’s end.
The season 2 runner-up had some not so nice things to say about this year’s glam rocker Adam Lambert, who earlier in the competition received comparisons to the Spamalot actor for his theatrical singing style.
“I only turn the show on once a season, and only to see what the set looks like each year, ” Aiken said on his official blog (the post has since been removed). “This year, I happened to turn it during the minute that Adam Lambert was singing “Ring of Fire” and, at that moment, thought my ears would bleed. Contrived, awful, and slightly frightening!”
Adam wasn’t the only target in Clay’s legnthy rant. Clay spoke against what he called “an obvious bias” on AI this season towards Lambert and says Kris Allen‘s victory was the result of viewers being tired of being told who to vote for. “I think many were turned off by the blatant favoritism shown towards one contestant. Therefore, on that last night, they used their votes against a contestant that they were tired of hearing about and for the contestant who had been written off.”
On Wednesday night, Conway, Arkansas native Kris Allen became the next American Idol during the season 8 finale.

I love how all you sites are totally taking his blog out of context to create a story.. or adding your own bits to it to make it seem to be more than it is! clay is entitled to his opinion.. and he never slammed adam or even said he didnt’ like him.. he doesn’t care for that style of singing and.. what the heck is the diff!?!? clay can make an opinion like us all. we all don’t have to enjoy the same kind of music.. and he’s expressed an opinion about a show that he loves, by the way.. one he said he’d 24/7 if he could.. he doesn’t like the direction the shows has gone in.. he’s not in that boat alone. again.. he’s entitle to his opinion!
angry, the only thing you’ve done is proven yourself to be an angry hypocrite. of course it is his opinion, but his opinion is still a slam to adam’s talent. i can say clay aiken’s voice is about as exciting as watching paint dry and his albums are as fun as being checked into a hospice. this is my opinion, yes? but i bet your silly ass just caught 9 knots in your big ass panties because i slammed him with my opinion. clay obviously felt he spoke out of turn and deleted his blog to avoid the backlash he created. don’t be upset that he is being called on it.
Clay needs to calm down and look at his career. I haven’t seen him do anything great since winning Idol. Yeah, his opinion is his opinion but I never liked Clay’s voice at all and would never buy any of his cd’s. Some of the songs I heard him do were rather frightening to my ears as well.

isn’t a good thing that Clay Aiken has an honest opinion and isn’t afraid to express it? he is right about AI being biased, so why not mention what is already so obvious
I don’t really care if its his opinion, its extremely mean, and it was a horrible thing to say. And not to mention, uncalled for. If I don’t like someone, then I certainly wouldn’t go out of my way to bash them. Its a waste of my time, and the victim. So basically Clay just made himself look like a jerk, especially when Adam could have cared less. (by the way, his comeback was way better.) If he didn’t have anything nice to say, then why did he open his mouth?
