//New Music: Caitlin Crosby – Imperfect Is The New Perfect//

Uplifting songs don’t have to be sappy and lame. Just ask Caitlin Crosby. The second single from her upcoming debut album, Flawz, the rocking “Imperfect Is The New Perfect” covers the subject of self-esteem and not fitting into society’s ridiculous standard of beauty with a delectable Top-40 sound and a little Katy Perry-like brashness. “I’m gonna dance/I’m gonna strut/I’ll shake my curves and not give a f*ck.”

The 23-year-old singer/songwriter has made it her mission not only to deliver great music, but use her talents to help girls cope with their body image issues. She started a website called Love Your Flawz where girls can share stories about overcoming the battle and get advice on just how to get over the image mountain if they’re still in that valley.

Flawz is in stores June 20.
