You don’t get a nickname like Glambert without knowing a bit about fashion. American Idol season 8 runner-up Adam Lambert certainly knows a thing or two about looking his best when he hits the stage. Aside from looking forward to his many epic performances on Idol, fans were always wondering what he’d wear. The 27-year-old rocker appeared on Live with Regis and Kelly this morning to talk about some of his favs in fashion.
“I like high fashion stuff [like] Alexander McQueen and… I just like looking at nice clothes,” he told the morning show duo. He admitted his style icon David Bowie is a major influence on him.
Another thing he spoke about was his experience in theatre. He started his theatre career at only 10 years old playing in Your A Good Man, Charlie Brown. Even though he’s proud of his theatrical roots, Adam wasn’t so happy about being labeled the “Broadway guy” when he first started on Idol.
“I think that’s kind of small minded. I think that a lot of Broadway performers that are here in New York and all over the country have other types of music they can do too and create all types of art.”
After his interview Adam performed his signature Idol song “Mad World.”
