//Unfollowing Diddy On Twitter Is Trendy//
Twitter isn’t just a place to read obnoxious updates, it’s also a place for a pretty good lite scandal.
Diddy found himself at the center of some severe Twitter bitchassness as soon as he reached a million followers on the micro-blogging website. The accomplishment apparently ticked some people off so much, a new movement was started: the #unfollowdiddy.
The hashtag’s intention is to get anyone who is following the rap mogul to drop him so that he’d no longer be in the coveted million followers club. It spread so far across the site that it once topped trending topics like Susan Boyle, Adam Lambert, and new Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor.
The only question is why? Sure Diddy’s inappropriate tweets about sex (sometimes during sex) is a bit of a TMI nightmare, but should the Diddy lose his Twitter crown? Actor Ashton Kutcher famously raced CNN to a million followers in a highly hyped contest that threatened to overexpose Twitter and take away it’s cool factor.
Whatever the reason, Diddy isn’t pleased. He tweeted out about the sadness: “Damn I didn’t know reaching 1,000,000 would cause a Hater riot!! They have no lives.”

I don’t even know if I would call it trendy – after all, it’s not like his follower count actually went down by any measurable amount. He’s 25k over a million. :)
