Why won’t the people let Kanye West‘s music video for “Paranoid” be great?! Instead of waiting for Kanye to work his magic on the vid for his latest single, someone has leaked a total of two version of the video, which stars Rihanna as Ye’s paranoid leading lady, to the internet–neither of which are the final cut.

Kanye, in all of his caps-lock glory, took to his blog to vent about his hurt over the leaks:

IT HURTS ME TO SEE THE OLD AND VERY WRONG VERSION OF THE PARANOID VIDEO GET LEAKED ALL OVER THE NET WHILE I WAS ON AN 11 HR FLIGHT AND COULDN’T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. IT’S JUST FRUSTRATING WHEN THIS STUFF HAPPENS BECAUSE I REALLY CARE ABOUT THE PRODUCT AND SINCE VIDEOS NEVER GET PLAYED ANY WAY YOU MIGHT AS WELL TWEAK THEM AND MAKE THEM AS SPECIAL AS POSSIBLE. THE VERSION THAT GOT LEAKED FROM THE CAMERA PHONE LAST WEEK IS AT LEAST A LITTLE CLOSER TO THE FINAL PRODUCT. THANK YOU EVERYBODY FOR YOUR SUPPORT BUT THAT VIDEO WAS NOT UP TO MY STANDARDS.

The first version leaked when a blogger taped the premiere at Island Def Jam’s spring collection unveiling last week. That cut was darker, edgier, and clearly fit the message of the song more than the second version that leaked which looks more like an ode to Rihanna’s hotness than music video.
