America might still be a little upset about the shocking results of American Idol season 8 but runner-up Adam Lambert and winner Kris Allen are completely fine. Not even the recent discovery of an AT&T texting mini scandal gets in the way of their good feelings about the show’s end.
“I rolled my eyes actually when I heard about it,” Adam said while appearing on the Today Show along side Kris. “I think people are just looking for something to be dramatic about.”
Fox released a statement assuring fans that the finale votes weren’t skewed in any way. Lambert is also confident there was no foul play involved in his defeat. “I think people just need to relax and just accept that this is the way that the vote went.”
Scandals weren’t the only thing on Kris Allen’s mind on the Today Show. He spoke about how his wife Katy is handling his new found fame. “She’s dealing with it amazingly. She’s happy for me and this is what she wanted for me from a long time ago. She’s super cool.”

Kris Allen still was the highest vote getter on Dial Idol. That is what many people use. Dial Idol is not texting. So even by using Dial Idol Kris edged out Adam in the final count.
Dial Idol still had Kris winning and that is not using Text Messaging.
