It’s been a long hard road for 47-year-old Scottish singing sensation Susan Boyle, but she’s finally reached the end of a fantastic journey on Britain’s Got Talent. A what would be a better way to come full circle in the competition than to sing the song that got her there in the first place? Susan performed “I Dreamed A Dream” at tonight’s finals with far more passionate than she did during her incredible audition. The judges were on their feet for a standing ovation when Boyle concluded her chill-inducing performance.

“I’m not supposed to favor anyone in this competition as a judge. I should be impartial,” judge Piers Morgan told Susan. “But you know what, forget it. That to me was the greatest performance I’ve seen in Britain’s Got Talent history. You should win this competition.”

The remark garnered a few boos from the audience mixed in with the rabid applause.

Simon Cowell chose to remain a bit more PC but praised Boyle for dealing with the media storm surrounding her with grace.

“Win or lose, you had the guts to come back here tonight, face your critics and you beat them. That’s the most important thing… I absolutely adore you.”

Results to come shortly.
