Eminem was supposed to make a big return to the MTV stage with a performance at the MTV Movie Awards tonight in Hollywood, but comedic actor Sacha Baron Cohen kicked his comeback in the butt.
The actor came out as his new sassy Australian character Bruno at the ceremony to introduce the nominees for Best Male Performance. As he flew over the audience dressed as a flamboyant angel attached to a harness, he began having trouble with the suspension device.
“Let me down!” he yelled.
He lowered onto none other than Eminem as he sat in his seat surrounded by his entourage of bodyguards–his butt landing right in Em’s face.
“Eminem! Nice to meet you,” Bruno told the rapper who found the joke not very funny.
“Are you serious? Are you f*cking serious?” Em said. “Get this motherf*cker off of me!”
His bodyguards then tossed the actor off the rapper. “Hey! Don’t touch me guys! I already got a boyfriend,” Bruno yelped. Em and he crew then angrily exited the Gibson Amphitheatre.
There’s still mixed opinions over whether or not the whole thing was staged, but it was easily one of the most talked about moments of the show.
