Miley Cyrus and her breakout single “The Climb” from the Hannah Montana: The Movie soundtrack are still making an epic, erm, climb to new successful heights.
Miley picked up Best Song in a Movie at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards last night in Universal City, CA, beating out some stiff competition for like Bruce Springsteen and Paramore for the golden popcorn.
Dressed in a flesh-colored dress, the 16-year-old actress/singer was presented with her award by Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester and rapper Lil Wayne.
“Dude! Lil Wayne just handed me my award,” an excited Miley told the crowd as she accepted her trophy.
She thanked her fans who came out in droves to vote for the singer to win, but she saved the biggest thanks for the man upstairs. “I wanna thank God. Hellooo! The only reason I’m here!”
She left the stage after making a reference to the show’s host Andy Samberg. “I’m on a boat!”

cute! the random i’m on a boat was hilarious!
She looked so good! And she seemed over excited during her speech but she is awesome!
I THINK SHE IS THE MOST POPULAR TEENAGER IN TEHE WORLD SHE IS JUST AMAZING
SHE HAS A SPECIAL THING THAT MAKES HER SO COOL
Miley Cyrus may be a good singer, nut she is not a great singer, in about a couple of years she will have nothing to fall back on when she is too old to perform Hannah Montana. The winner i would have preferd it to be Either Bruce Springsteen or Paramore because both are Great singers and will definitely leave a legacy. After all her win was in the MTV awards. Can anyone spell LAME!!!
Good clean win. A nice kid with enthusiasm and a smile. Much more appeal than a bunch of thugs brooding on the hood of a rented Hummer with chrome wheels. Maybe music trends are coming back around to normal.
How did that ugly slut win!
Fuck that shit, Bruce Springsteen should of won it. He’s the boss for crying out loud instead that little Disney slut won it. Don’t get me wrong I would pound the little bitch’s pussy, but no way her music can be compared with the boss. Fuck I hate the knew generation of music
