//Live Performance Goodness: Melanie Fiona Covers The Beatles In London//

If I didn’t know how sweet singer/songwriter Melanie Fiona is first-hand, I’d be convinced she wasn’t a very nice girl. I mean, she teases fans constantly by posting incredible YouTube videos of performances she’s done all over the world, yet the release of her debut album, The Bridge, is still months away; at this point we’re looking at an August release. Ugh! That’s just cruel, Mel!

While opening for British soul singer Daniel Merriweather in London recently, the Toronto native tried her hand at covering the Beatles‘ “I’ll Be Back Again,” and what she came up with was a stirring, soulful rendition worthy enough to make the album’s tracklist. Simply amazing! The performance starts around 1:53, but check the whole video for appearances by Mark Ronson, Samantha Ronson, and Merriweather.

At least when she teases us, she teases us well! Check it!

Were you there? I went to review Merriweather but had no idea MF was on first. I missed her supporting Mr Hudson earlier in the year as well. RUBBISH

  2. Cosmic says:

Daniel Merriweather is Australian, not British
