The tributes to Michael Jackson‘s greatness continued to flood in throughout the BET Awards and one of the best came from a man who had the pleasure of working with Jackson on a new album the King of Pop was working on before his death: Ne-Yo. The singer/songwriter performed a heartfelt version of “Lady In My Life” from MJ’s landmark album Thriller. With this performance it’s easy to see why MJ co-signed Ne-Yo’s talents — the man is amazing!
Later Ne-Yo was joined by Jamie Foxx and Fabolous for the “Miss Independent” remix “She Got Her Own“
But Ne-Yo didn’t stop there. He brought out some old school hotness with Keith Sweat, Guy, and Bel Biv Devoe for a New Jack tribute.
It was really strange watching the BET awards this year. It felt really off for me.
Janet looked more beautiful than I have ever seen her. What a great moment. Very touching.
