While a good bulk of the tributes to the late Michael Jackson came from male artists during last night’s 2009 BET Awards, one lady did get in on the act. R&B star Ciara took the stage in her MJ inspired jacket and performed a cover of Michael’s Heal The World.
“The memory I will forever hold on to is talking to him on the phone,” Ciara said in a message on her Twitter page. “He was so sweet. I was looking forward to seeing him live for the first time, and actually meeting him in person.”

Forgot the show was on. Funny to hear this because when I saw her perform on So You Think You Can Dance, it dawned on me that of any young performer today, she reminded me the most of Michael.

I have to agree with the people that said ciara singing was horrible, i mean know she was doing a tribute and she was about to cry. but she just can’t sing she does good dancing though, but that performance couldve been better its like she practiced at the last minute. she just CANT sing.
