Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’d know Drake is just about the hottest thing to come along since fast food restaurants started to keep their drive-thru windows open late so you can eat great (believe me, that’s pretty hot!).

The 22-year-old Canadian rapper appeared on MTV’s new live talk show It’s On with Alexa Chung to talk about his extreme hotness that led to a serious bidding war between record labels to sign him. He ended up signing a joint venture between his manager and Lil Wayne’s Young Money imprint with distribution through Universal.

He also talked about working with Kanye West, who directed the video for his sizzling summer song “Best I Ever Had.” “Kanye is one of those people that come along in this business once in a lifetime,” Drake gushed. “He’s so talented beyond music.”

And even though he made no mention of pop goddess Rihanna who he has been linked with in the tabloids and gossip blogs, he did talk about the best date he ever had. “I went out for dinner one night and had some phenomenal conversation…That’s really like the best date to me.”

Before he was sent on his way, Alexa became the hottest chick ever when she rolled an old school clip of Drake as an awkward-looking Jimmy Brooks on the teen drama Degrassi: The Next Generation. Was he embarrassed? You betcha! “You couldn’t get a post-haircut clip!?”
