//Live Performance Goodness: Rob Thomas Performs Acoustic Set For Mix 106.5 In San Jose//

Rob Thomas is easily one of most gifted singer/songwriters to emerge in the late 90’s and carry over into this decade. His music — solo and with his band Matchbox Twenty — is bare and honest, yet somehow manages to retain just enough coolness to produce constant chart hits.

He just released his long awaited sophomore solo album, Cradlesong, on Tuesday (June 30). With the lead single “Her Diamonds” taking off, he’s been traveling around to promote the set.

He stopped by radio station Mix 106.5 in San Jose to treat some lucky fans to a 3-song acoustic set. He performed “Her Diamonds” (above) MB20 classic “3 A.M.” and his hit from his first album “Lonely No More.”

I know what you’ll be thinking after you watch: “When’s the tour?” Yeah, I know. I’m wondering too. I’ll keep you posted.
